01
Why your own domain in the sender line matters
An address like anna@your-company.com is more than cosmetics.
Your own address looks more serious, is easier to remember and belongs to you. If you change provider later, you take the address with you. With free email the address is tied to the account, with your own domain it is tied to you.
Then there is delivery. Mail with properly set authentication records (SPF and DKIM) lands in spam less often. The portal shows which records your domain needs for that in the mail configuration.
For you as a freelancer or small business that means quotes, invoices and replies visibly come from your brand and reach the inbox.
Your address, your domain, your mailboxes on servers in Germany.

Mail plans compared
Live from the shop, the same values as at checkout.
One person with one or two addresses needs little. A team with role addresses, calendar and sending through its own mail server is better off on the larger plans. The table shows which features come with which plan.
| Plan | Mailboxes | Storage per mailbox | Aliases | Extras | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mail Starter | 5 | 10 GB | – | – | €2.99 / month |
| Mail Standard | 10 | 20 GB | – | – | €5.99 / month |
| Mail Business | 25 | 25 GB | – | – | €11.99 / month |
| Mail Business Pro+ | 50 | 50 GB | – | – | €20.99 / month |

A mailbox is an address with its own storage and login. Aliases are extra addresses that deliver into an existing mailbox.

The feature set a business mailbox needs day to day.

- Aliases and forwarding
- Put info@, billing@ and support@ into one mailbox or forward them to colleagues.
- Calendar and shared inbox
- Depending on the plan with calendar and a shared inbox for teams. The table above shows where it is included.

Set up in four steps
Fastest when the domain is with the same provider.
Choose plan and domain
You order the mail hosting and name the domain the addresses should run on.
Set the records
MX, SPF and DKIM point to our mail servers. If the domain is with us this works in the portal. If it is elsewhere you enter the shown values with that provider.
Create mailboxes
In the portal you create addresses, passwords and aliases and hand them to your team.
Connect your apps
Enter the credentials in Outlook, Thunderbird or on your phone. Webmail works right away.
If you already have mail with your current provider, open a ticket first. We look together at how to move mailboxes without a gap.
05
Who it is for
Three typical uses.
- Freelancers and self-employed
- A professional address for quotes and invoices, plus aliases such as billing@ without extra cost per address.
- Small businesses and agencies
- Mailboxes for the whole team, calendar and, where needed, a shared inbox for support@ and info@.
- Clubs and communities
- Role addresses such as board@ and treasurer@ that stay when the office changes hands.

Questions about business mail hosting
Answered briefly.
All mail hosting plans Buy a domain Transfer your domain Web hosting for clubs Data processing agreement
01
Do I need my own domain?
Yes, the mailboxes run on your domain. If you do not have one yet you can register it with us and manage everything in one account.
02
What is the difference between mail hosting and the mailboxes in web hosting?
Web hosting includes a few mailboxes as an extra, which is often enough for a small website. Mail hosting specialises in email: more mailboxes, more storage per mailbox, aliases and, depending on the plan, calendar, shared inbox and SMTP relay.
03
Can I use Outlook, Thunderbird and my phone?
Yes. You connect the apps via IMAP and SMTP, or you use webmail in the browser.
04
Where is my mail stored?
On servers in Germany, so within the EU.
05
How do I protect my domain from spoofing?
With SPF, DKIM and DMARC. If your domain is with us, these records are set and monitored. If it is with another provider, we show you the values in the mail configuration and you enter them there.
06
Can I change plan later?
Yes. All plans can be cancelled monthly, there is no minimum term.
07
Is there a data processing agreement?
Yes, you find the agreement in the legal documents.
