WARDOGS Season 2: Update 0.2.0 adds weapons, vehicles and new server rules

WARDOGS enters Season 2 with Update 0.2.0

BULKHEAD released WARDOGS Season 2 on October 15, 2026. Update 0.2.0 adds equipment and vehicles while also changing combat balance, team switching and network controls.

New weapons, vehicles and buildables

Four weapons join the arsenal: the TCX-SPR assault rifle, PP-19 Bizon, Evo-3 Ultra LMG and M14 marksman rifle. New optics, muzzle devices, magazines and bipods accompany them.

Vehicle additions include the fast Wolf-110, an M2 Browning variant, the T-72B3 and the Flakpanzer Gepard. Teams can also build an MG nest, a large shelter and a wooden step. The new Molotov provides area denial and can burn destructible foliage.

Rain changes the battlefield

The rain preset is not merely visual. Surfaces, vehicles and characters become wet, sound changes depending on shelter and synchronized thunder can mask footsteps. Rain affects spotting distance and reduces Molotov fire. Weather therefore becomes a tactical factor for movement and communication.

Balance and team play

High-caliber ammunition has been adjusted so DMRs and LMGs no longer approach sniper damage at much higher rates of fire. Armor, helmets, suppression, parachutes and several weapon classes have also been rebalanced.

Season 2 introduces restrictions designed to reduce abusive late team switching. Players may be unable to switch again for a period, while some information and functions remain restricted after joining a match in progress. A punish-or-forgive system lets the victim of a team kill decide whether it should count. Repeated penalties can lead to kicks and escalating bans.

Important for community servers

Official regions now enforce ping limits. Sustained excessive latency can lead to a kick, while server-side spikes should be excluded from measurements. The server browser adds related tags and filters. According to the patch notes, community-server administrators can configure their own limits, preserving the option for cross-regional play.

Administrators should review ping rules, server-browser tags and moderation procedures after updating. The team-kill workflow and balance changes may also affect existing server rules and community guides.

Conclusion

Season 2 changes many parts of WARDOGS at once. The new content is immediately visible, but weather, balancing, team-switching rules and network controls may have the larger long-term impact. Community servers should not stop at installing Update 0.2.0; configuration, rules and player guidance should be checked afterwards.
