HumanitZ Hotfix 1.1X: Bug Fixes, Duplication Exploit Patches, and NPC Improvements

Overview

HumanitZ's development team has released Hotfix 1.1X, targeting a mix of critical bugs, exploit patches, and quality-of-life improvements. As with previous updates, players running mods are advised to wait for mod creators to release compatible versions before updating, since outdated mods are a common source of fatal errors and crashes that the team cannot diagnose on their end.

Key fixes include:

  • Caesar's quest no longer incorrectly flags as failed
  • Player Zeek no longer drops a loot bag upon death
  • Multiple duplication exploits have been closed
  • Unstackable items no longer erroneously stack
  • Vehicle headshot kills on Zeeks now register correctly in headshot-only mode
  • Recruited NPCs now dress seasonally appropriate when options are available (trader clothing logic will be addressed separately)
  • The canning station no longer freezes after processing food
  • Barbed wire wall upgrades now work correctly in front of windows on PvP servers
  • The Walkie Talkie no longer mistakenly switches to CHARGE mode when it should show REPAIR
  • Food supply estimates now calculate more accurately
  • NPCs no longer fall through the map when areas are force-unloaded (e.g., entering bunkers)
  • NPCs no longer get stuck during the spawning process

The team also tweaked NPC combat behavior, making allies less likely to engage in unnecessarily risky fights and improving melee responses when surrounded.

Key changes

  • On the quality-of-life front, vehicle windshield armor now provides reduced protection rather than near-total invulnerability — once destroyed, vehicles take full damage from frontal collisions.
  • Two new tracking features were also added: a global NPC history log for reviewing past events, and a map button to locate specific NPCs, helping players recover lost allies more easily.
