Enshrouded Hotfix 1.0.0.2: World Settings Restored and Multiple Crash Fixes

Enshrouded Hotfix 1.0.0.2: Stability Pass Addresses World Settings and Crashes
The latest hotfix for Enshrouded (build 1269579) focuses on repairing a regression from the previous update and squashing a long list of crashes reported by players.
World Settings Restored
The previous hotfix accidentally broke the ability to configure world settings while the team was fixing misbehaving session lists in the multiplayer join menus. That regression has now been corrected, and players can once again adjust their world settings as expected.
Save Migration Crash Prevention
A rare crash during save game migration has been fixed. The issue occurred when the game attempted to load a corrupted character save. With this hotfix, corrupted characters are no longer migrated, which avoids the crash but means some players may notice a character missing from their list. The developers are working on a follow-up fix that will migrate these characters while repairing the underlying corruption, so affected players should expect a resolution in a future update.
Rendering Fix for Nvidia Cards
A visual bug caused the game to render in a thick grey fog unrelated to the Shroud's intended atmosphere. The issue appeared specifically on Nvidia graphics cards and was most noticeable in the Hollow Halls. It has now been resolved.
Gameplay and Crash Fixes
Several gameplay-related issues have also been addressed:
- Factories could occasionally crash when placed down, or fail to open the correct interaction menu. Both issues are fixed.
- Fast traveling or landing with a glider in areas with many entities (enemies, survivors, mannequins, etc.) could trigger a crash; this has been corrected.
- The server could crash when players fought unusually large numbers of enemies simultaneously. This has been fixed.
- A rare crash tied to full backpacks no longer occurs.
- Crashes connected to the water simulation, the Twitch link server, and game shutdown have all been resolved.
- Several additional rare and randomly occurring crashes have been fixed.
Adventure Share Improvements
Subscribing to Adventure Share content is now more stable, and a crash that could occur while browsing shared adventures or starting a download has been fixed.
Localization Fixes
Skill tree localization issues affecting Aerial Wand Attack, Evasion Attack, Wand Evasion Attack, and Crash Down Attack have been corrected across several languages. Further improvements to skill descriptions are planned for an upcoming patch.
Summary
This hotfix prioritizes stability, reversing a settings-related regression and closing out a substantial number of crash reports spanning saves, rendering, multiplayer, and shared content. Players experiencing a missing character due to the save migration change are advised that a dedicated fix is in progress. Anyone encountering further issues is encouraged to report them through official support channels for investigation.
